Bio

Mariah grew up in a gym with her parents who were bodybuilders. Although she’s always loved fitness, in college she began to experience severe joint pain and other debilitating symptoms due to a rare genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos. Years of being unable to exercise meant she had to start with the basics and “get in shape” all over again. This experience gave her the passion to help others on their fitness journey no matter where they start. Today, Mariah has thousands of hours of experience and holds multiple certifications (CSCS, PN-1, GGS-1, ACE-CPT), and is the founder of Intersect Fitness. Mariah is also pursuing a Masters in Exercise Science with a focus in Clinical Research and hopes to contribute to field of exercise science as it relates to chronic illnesses.
